Steam
Steaming means cooking food in the steam of boiling water. It is common to cook vegetables by steaming them - the process of steaming is relatively gentle and retains most of the goodness in the vegetables.

You can buy steamers, which consist of a pan and one or two stacking inserts to go above, each with holes in the bottom for steam to pass through. A lid goes on top to keep the steam in.
