Easy Biscuits
Cooking Time: 40 minutes

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 165°C (gas mk 3, 325°F). Sift the flour into a bowl and mix in the salt and ground rice. Rub in the butter finely.

2. Add the sugar and knead to form a smooth soft dough.

3. Take about 30g of dough at a time and form into a ball. Place onto a lined or lightly greased baking tray and press down until each one is about 5mm thick. Top each biscuit with half a glace cherry or other topping.

4. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown. Remove from oven, transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool.


You can top the biscuits with glace cherries, almonds, angelica etc.
